Why this website exists

To paraphrase my first post:

The purpose of this site is to write down some of my ideas, and put up links to cool shit I find on the internet.  It’s easier than keeping a hand-written journal, and I get to put my ideas on display for my friends.

One thing I really want to be clear on is that I do not want this site to turn into a personal, whiny rant.  Posts such as “I feel really sick today and the people at work are being jerks…” will never find their way here.

If you’ve come this far, you’re hopefully a bit curious about what I have to say, so welcome aboard, and let me know what you think.
